A Different Light

Commencing in early 2020 Brett Wood began a long form project to photograph Brisbane at night. The subjects that were chosen were not the shiny lights and pretty scenes of the city and river but rather the suburban backstreets and industrial spaces of his hometown. The intent was to capture Brisbane in a different light, both literally and figuratively. Each chosen film stock rendered colours that the native eye could not see. This resulted in a series of photographs that depict Brisbane in a way that few have seen before.
